A cheap wall plug in a load-bearing situation isn't a saving. It's a deferred problem.
Foveo Tech is a Polish manufacturer of construction fixings - wall plugs, anchors and accessories. The range covers the main substrate types found on residential and commercial sites across Central and Eastern Europe.
At Colorista.md you'll find 15+ Foveo Tech products. Universal nylon plugs for concrete, brick and masonry, fixings for plasterboard, anchors for heavier loads. For tradespeople who fix things every day and want to know it holds - without running load calculations on every hole.
Choosing right. The right question isn't what size but which substrate and what load. An 8x40 plug in solid concrete holds differently from the same 8x40 in hollow brick or aerated block. Foveo Tech publishes load data by substrate type - read it before buying in bulk.
In Chisinau flats with Soviet-era solid brick walls - nylon 8 or 10mm, length accounting for plaster depth plus 50mm into the substrate. In plasterboard - dedicated plasterboard anchors only, not universal plugs.
Universal nylon or metal plugs, 8-12mm diameter depending on load. Length: plaster depth plus at least 40-50mm into concrete. Use a rotary-hammer drill, not a standard drill.
The range covers different substrates. Check catalogue availability for the specific type - plasterboard needs a dedicated anchor, not a universal wall plug.
Load capacity in hollow brick is significantly lower than in solid concrete. Use plugs designed for porous materials or chemical anchors for heavier loads. Standard universal plugs don't grip properly in cavities.
Nylon for standard interior applications, medium loads. Metal for heavier loads, exterior use or where thermal expansion is a factor. For standard residential interiors, nylon is usually sufficient.
Load capacity depends on concrete quality and load type (pull-out, shear). In good quality concrete an 8mm plug holds tens of kilograms. Check the manufacturer's technical data for exact figures by load type.
