A plastering rule is a checking tool. Hold it against the wall or ceiling and see the gaps - where plaster dipped and where it built up. 200 cm checks long sections in one pass.
Construction: aluminium trapezoidal profile. Trapezoid is stiffer than a rectangle at the same weight.
Use: checking flatness during plastering. Cutting back excess mortar along screeds. Levelling floor screed.
Usage rules: rest the rule on the surface without pressing. Gaps under the rule - residential tolerance is typically no more than 3 mm over 2 m.
