Flat walls don't happen by themselves. You make them. And for that you need decent filler.
Knauf is a German manufacturer with a global presence in building systems - plasterboard, plasters, fillers, profiles, accessories. Builders across Europe use Knauf every day.
What's at Colorista.md from the Knauf range? Confirmed lines in stock: HP Finish (finishing filler, thin final coat before painting), HP Start (base filler for filling and levelling), Rotband (hand-applied universal plaster, excellent adhesion on concrete and brick), Fugen (jointing compound for plasterboard, no tape needed), Uniflott (jointing compound for taped joints, recessed application). All confirmed in our catalogue.
Choosing right. HP Start for thicker layers up to 8mm per pass, on uneven surfaces. HP Finish for the final 1-3mm layer before sanding. Don't reverse the order - HP Finish won't hold as a thick base layer, it'll crack on drying. In an older Chisinau flat with Soviet-era plaster, check adhesion of the existing layer before applying Knauf on top. A penetrating primer beforehand saves everything you do after.
Rotband adheres to monolithic concrete without preliminary priming - appreciated by crews who don't want to lose a day on preparation. On very absorbent surfaces, primer is still recommended.
20+ Knauf products available at Colorista.md in Chisinau.
HP Start is base filler for filling and levelling, layers up to 8mm. HP Finish is finishing filler for the final thin layer 1-3mm before painting. Apply HP Start first, let it dry, then HP Finish. Not the other way round.
Yes, Rotband has adhesion on concrete, brick and existing plaster without preliminary priming in normal conditions. On very absorbent or dusty surfaces, a penetrating primer is recommended for reliable results.
Fugen for plasterboard joints without reinforcing tape, standard butt joints. Uniflott for joints with tape embedded in the compound, more crack-resistant. Choice depends on joint type and finish requirements.
HP Start and HP Finish are applied by hand with a trowel and straight-edge. Rotband by hand or plastering machine. No special equipment needed for standard residential rooms.
HP Finish goes on thin, 1-3mm per pass. Thick layers crack on drying. If you need more filling first, use HP Start.
