CW (stud) and UW (track) profiles for partition walls. CW studs slot into UW tracks fixed to floor and ceiling. Standard stud spacing 600mm for standard boards.
CD and UD are for suspended ceilings. UD is the perimeter profile fixed to walls, CD is the main profile hung from the ceiling. Together they form the framework for ceiling boards.
Standard profiles are 0.5-0.6mm. For load-bearing applications or door frames in walls - profiles with 0.7-0.8mm metal. Check specs when buying.
Standard profiles are galvanised steel for corrosion resistance. In high-humidity rooms - check zinc coating thickness in the specifications.
Standard 600mm between centres for 12.5mm boards. At door or window openings - add double studs at each side. For loaded walls (shelves, TV) - 400mm spacing is safer.
