Enlarged washer DIN 9021 M-14 galvanized
Enlarged washer DIN 9021 M-14 galvanized - wide washer with an oversized outer diameter. DIN 9021 standard means M-14 bore, with an outer diameter considerably larger than a standard DIN 125 washer.
Why use an oversized washer. The large outer diameter spreads the load over a bigger area. Critical when fastening into soft or brittle materials: timber structures, plywood, polystyrene insulation, sandwich panels. A standard washer simply pulls through or tears the material under load.
Galvanized coating for rust resistance in exterior and damp conditions. Standard metric M-14 fastener.
