White stain does something white paint cannot: it lets the wood grain show through. It colours rather than covers.
Aura Lasura Aqua white - a white tone for wooden fences, pergolas and exterior cladding. The finish is semi-transparent: the wood stays wood, but picks up a white tone that brightens the surface.
Popular in Mediterranean or rustic-modern gardens where bleached wood is the look, without the painted feel. Paired with black or brown metal details, it reads very well.
Apply to dry wood with a brush. Two coats. On wood that has already greyed, light sanding before application helps the stain penetrate into the open grain. Uneven results if old paint is still on the surface. Aura is made by Eskaro Group in Estonia.
