Yellow wood screws 3.5x16 mm are designed for fixing into thin timber, plywood, MDF, chipboard and wood-to-wood joints up to 8-12 mm thick. Self-tapping thread - no pilot hole needed in soft wood, though in hardwood a 2.5 mm pilot prevents splitting.
The yellow colour comes from the zinc coating that protects against rust in normal interior conditions. Not suitable for permanent outdoor use or wet rooms.
