Drill bit for tiles and porcelain 10 mm - carbide tip, no percussion. Clean holes in ceramics.
Ceramics and porcelain crack under impact - that is the basic rule. A tile bit has a special carbide tip that cuts rather than hammers. Use rotation-only mode, no hammer. Medium speed, steady pressure and water cooling give a clean hole without cracks.
10 mm is standard for M6-M8 fasteners in ceramics. Start with a small indent made manually or with a centre punch to stop the bit wandering at startup. Compatible with standard drills with cylindrical chuck.
