Self-tapping screw FTZ-35055 3.5x50 mm gypsum/wood phosphated
Gypsum board on a timber frame needs a different screw from the metal-stud version.
The FTZ-35055 3.5x50 mm black phosphated screw is designed for fixing gypsum board to timber studs, battens and wood framing. The coarser thread grips wood fibres better; the sharp point drives in without a pilot hole.
50 mm is the standard length for single 12.5 mm board on timber - gives 35-37 mm embedment in the stud. The countersunk Pozidriv head sits flush with the board face.
The black phosphate finish reduces joint compound adhesion to the screw head.
